ASIA QUALIFICATION

Asia (AFC) 

4 teams from Asia will qualify directly for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. One extra place will be up for grabs in an inter-confederation play-off. The qualifying format will be the same as 2010 with a four round qualifying process. 43 Asian nations will compete for the 2014 World Cup berths.
Rounds 1 and 2 will be 2 legged knock out fixtures between lower ranked nations in Asia. The draw for these preliminary fixtures was made on 30th March 2011 in Kuala Lumpur.

Round 1 first leg matches will be played on June 29th/30th 2011 with the second leg following on July 3rd/4th 2011.
