Recognizes Argentine star Lionel Messi on Monday the Golden Boot Award as the best scorer in Europe last season after scoring 50 goals for his team Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga.
Messi received the award from the hands of the former Spanish star Luis Suarez in a ceremony held in Barcelona in the presence of a large number of football stars.
Messi said upon receiving the award, "It is a collective honor .. always say so when I get any award because without my colleagues what you realize something which has made".
For his part, praised the Argentine star Luis Suarez, saying, "Messi essence of football .. It has the speed and skill and exploitation of spaces and almost everything."
The ceremony was attended by coach Argentine Alejandro Sabella and the Argentine Federation sporting director of football and coach the 1986 World Cup champion Carlos Bilardo.
